36 Meter Hurdles

Oops, I mean 36-Out Hurdles. Tonight while practicing I was left with a 36 out. I missed wide with the first dart, and then the second dart ended up in a really odd angle cutting across the double 18 also at an odd angle. So the third dart had little access to the double. I decided to try to sneak it over the top of the angled dart and voila! Nailed it. Not a spectacular out numbers-wise but it was certainly the feel good out of the evening. The darts, in case you are wondering, are 24 gram fixed point Penetrators (when I bought them they were called Dart Freaks), wearing short Rev-Grip nylon stems and my CPF's.

hehe. I was going to say the same thing jb. It is good to see you have the board hanging up again.

I'm curious as to where you purchased the Rev-Grip stems? Someone I shoot with gave me a pair to try and I like them. It looks like they can be ordered straight from http://www. britishdarts.com/ but I was hoping to find someone else.

This coming Tuesday is our last week of the season. The top two teams from each division move into the playoffs. We are out of 2nd place by 5 games.

LOL, yes the break didn't last long but I was glad I did it. I put away almost everything and now I only have one set of darts out again (I am sure that won't last long either ;)

Rev-Grips: you can get them from a-zdarts.com, which is where I do much of my online shopping. I also spend some of my money over at edarts.net but I am not sure if they have them. I only order stuff from England in a pinch due to shipping time and costs. Good luck though. They are pretty good stems and they spin more as you use them. They must loosen up or something.

mcvickj: Good luck on Tuesday! I am sure you'll thrash em.

JB: I am not sure what other leagues do. But it seems to me that Seattle and Pittsburgh have similar dart seasons. No one wants to play in the summer (because it's nice outside) and no one wants to play over the Holidays (on account of busy). Southern LA may be out of whack though due to the storms doing so much damage.

So they do. I can't believe I didn't see them before. Their site only lists the replacement tops. I'll shoot them an e-mail to see if they have any in stock.

The GRDL takes a winter break. The calender on the site hasn't been updated but it mentions the next season starts up on the first Tuesday in Feburary. I believe this is still correct.

How long did you make it? A week?

11 days. But the board is coming back down today for 13 more days as my goals and reasons have not changed... I really wanna crack a book or two!!

I contacted A-Z Darts about the Rev-Grip shafts. Here is their response...

"Well, yes, I guess you would say we are out of stock...they have been
discontinued and we no longer have any stock of the shafts only the tops."

I hope you stocked up when you had the chance.

mcvickj: I only bought the one set so no, I did not stock up. And for that matter I guess I really don't like them enough to stock up on the tops either. They are interesting and unique but I still prefer other stems. Hey, you know what? I think I saw them on another site recently... I will look and see if I can find where I saw them.

Hey man, do you use a tripod for the pics you take? You have great detail on most of them.

Nope, no tripod. In fact I don't even have any really good photographic equip at all. I have a junky old digital camera a friend gave me for helping them with their computer and I use it. Sometimes I will steady my arm against something but that is about it.
