Robbed At Dart Point
This was very nearly another Deadeye and should have been. The first two darts nailed the double bull and the third dart was in there. It was heading for the very center right between the first two but then deflected into the single bull. Agonizingly close to my second Deadeye. A five count is still pretty nice, though!

You're getting some really tight groupings looking at the past few pictures. I think the Pear shaped flights are a sucess, as you may get more deflections with Standard.
You might be right about that. I have really taken a liking to the pear shape flights. I have several sets of plain black and now one set of plain white.
I know this is off topic here... but what do you have against movable point darts... I have seen you mention you prefer fixed point.
Just interested...
Hi jsobo. This isn't as off topic as you might think. Afterall, look at the pic closer, those are hammerhead darts wearing fixed point conversions! But to answer your question, which I might more fully explore in a new post...
I started not liking MPs back when I got my first set of GTs. This was back when they did not have the new screw on shafts. So the dart was nice except there were parts flopping around in the back of the dart (their push shafts really suck) and the hh point rattled around and made noise in the front of the dart.
It made for a lot of distraction. I felt like I was trying to throw a fish. This heightened my appreciation for fixed points. I am softer on MPs these days. I have been known to use them on occation and much more so recently. I think my preference is still for fixed though.
That pic reminds me of the bed trick of 16's I was robbed on that day we played online. The only difference is the point on my hung dart never made it to the board as the dart started turning sideway hung between the two others.
Good shooting.
Cool. I've got a pic like that... Maybe even blogged it at one point. One of my darts is just hanging there in mid-air caught by it's flight.
